Goals The student learns the basic institutions of the law of obligations in his/her native language; the sources of debt relations, the inadequacy of contracts, their options, their execution and termination; the costs of debts arising from tort, the compensation for damages, the institution of unjust enrichment, and the characteristics of debts are the characteristics of the parties.
Course Content In this course, Concepts of debt and debt relationship, sources of debt relationships, debt relationships arising from legal transactions, debts arising from contracts, establishment of the contract, form, content of the contract, failure of will - representation in contracts, debts arising from unilateral legal transactions, interpretation, completion and adaptation of the contract, debt relationships arising from tort, case of strict liability, calculation of damages and compensation, joint liability (liability of more than one person) relationship between criminal law and civil law, debt relationships arising from unjust enrichment, provisions of debt relationship, fulfillment of debts, provisions and consequences of fulfillment, default of the debtor, effect of debts on third parties, conditional debts, penalty condition, withdrawal money, multiple debtors and creditors, change of creditor and debtor parties, transfer of receivables and assumption of debt, reasons terminating the debt are covered.
Learning Outcomes - At the end of the course, the student will be able to recognize the importance of the Law of Obligations, its relationship with other branches of law and its systematics;
- to distinguish the transactions that create obligations in the Law of Obligations and the necessary validity conditions for the establishment of legal transactions;
- to develop the ability to analyze and solve legal problems encountered in the Law of Obligations; will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge learned in the course to real events encountered; will be able to comment on sample decisions in practice
