Goals To explain the basic dynamics of Turkish economy historically and sectoral basis.
Course Content In this course, the historical development of Turkey's economy will be addressed as well as structural dynamics. The last years of the Ottoman economy, Ataturk, Inonu, the Democratic Party, the planned period and the post-1980 period will be analysed in historical context of Turkey's economy, sectoral developments, the economic and financial policies in these periods will be evaluated and the main economic parameters, development, inflation, and external balance of payments will be analyzed structurally.
