Goals Course Objective The students completed this course are provided to gain to necessary knowledge and skill about ornament of furniture surface.
Course Content • The decorative arts of furniture, its short history and stages • Necessity of the ornament in furniture and decoration • To learn the main lines with simple exercises of the ornament in furniture and decoration. • The students completed this course gain to comprehensive knowledge and skill about the ornament in furniture and decoration. • Put in use knowledge/skill acquired during the course in work environment effectively.

1. Week Dealing format, aim and explains subject of lecture
2. Week Definition and history of marquetry, Preparation of marquetry exercise about fret-saw
3. Week To do exercise of the cutting application with fret-saw
4. Week Description and history of carving, carving variety, carving chisels, (tool wear, recognition) cutting of carving pieces
5. Week Application of carving exercise (flat or round surface)
6. Week Transfer / Jig exercise be made. The completion of the carving exercise
7. Week Explanation of the varnish application techniques and varnish application of exercise pieces. Paper corrugation, cracle lacquer (with water and solvent based paints)
8. Week Application of cracle lacquer (paste+ undercoat) Application of the One Stroke
9. Week One stroke, Transfer, Jig, Stencil applications
10. Week Made of the gold leaf application and application of finishing varnish
