Goals To have awareness about the theory of projection within the frame of international technical drawing standards, to draw 2 and 3 dimensional views of simple and complex objects, to define the sections showing the cutting planes and display the scanning area, to prepare a dimensioning and make the necessary definitions regarding to the sample parts
Course Content The students who complete this course successfully: • Aware of the concepts of descriptive geometry, projection, perspective, and design description within the scope of the technical drawing approach which is the main communication tool in the field of engineering, • Obtain knowledge of creation an imaginary projection of objects based on the coordinates given by the principles of descriptive geometry • Know the concept of the drawing of the front, top, and side views of the objects, and perform to draw the 2-dimensional appearances of a simple geometrical objects according to the technical drawing approach • Know the concept of perspective, and perform to create the 3-dimensional appearances of objects in relation to the phenomenon of perspective and standard drawing practices • Gain knowledge about the technical drawing which is the main communication tool in the field of engineering , and obtain information about the preparation of documentation
