Goals The aim of this course, computer-computer components and office programs to be available to students at an advanced level.
Course Content Obtaining basic knowledge about hardware and software concepts. • Operating Systems(Installation and basic properties) • Make table in Excel, cell formatting, and perform basic mathematical operations. • Creating text in Word, text formatting, making tables, automatic indexing, etc.. Students perform such operations.

Weekly Topics (Content)
Week Topics Learning Methods
1. Week Hardware and software definition of the concepts, tasks. Computer hardware information for internal units (Main Board, Central Processes Unit, Memory Units, Hard disk, Floppy Disk, Sound and graphics card, Power Supply etc.)
2. Week Computer hardware information for external units (Monitor, Keyboard, Printer – Plotter, Mouse, Scanner etc.). The concepts of file and folder. Virus definitions, measures to be taken against viruses.
3. Week Introduction of the Windows XP operating system, the icons on the desktop, and features. Hard disk formatting and re-establishment of the operating system. Partitioning the hard disk and memory management operations.
4. Week The windows and dialog boxes .The basic operation using with mouse. The menus, commands and keyboard shortcuts. File and directory operations. The task bar properties and settings. Start menu items, settings and basic applications. Printer installation and application.
5. Week Control panel (computer advanced palms). Drawing with Paint programs to draw images and shapes. Program add/remove application.
6. Week Network connections, local area network and construct the working group. Internet access and use of the web browser.
7. Week Elements of the Power Point window, toolbars, menus, etc.. Presentation preparation and animation settings.
8. Week Introduction of the Word program. Explanation of the menus and toolbars. File menu operations. Edit menu operations. Add menu operations (Graphics, pictures, header and footer insertion, insertion of equations and symbols, etc.).
9. Week Create the document template, the formatting style resources, automatic indexing, etc. Ready to use templates in Word and mail merge.
10. Week 11 Creating different schemas in Word using the drawing tools. Word application, printing, print preview, page setup, etc.
11. Week Introduction of the Excel program. Explanation of the menus and toolbars. Special data entry methods. At the same time more than one cell in a data entry, Entering the data series etc.
12. Week File menu operations. Edit menu operations. Add menu operations (Adding row, column, picture and graphics etc.). Format menu operations. Change the cell format, conditional formatting, copy format, etc.
13. Week Calculations by using the formula in Excel spreadsheets. Using basic Excel functions (Sum, Average, decimal rounding, min and max. functions, if the function, countif function, etc.)
14. Week Data menu operations (Data sorting, filtering, format adjustment, grouping, networking and data transfer to other programs, etc.). Graphics creation and editing using data sets. Excel tables, printing, print preview, page setup, etc.
