Goals In this course, students are made to translate various texts in order to learn basic concepts and principles of translation, types of texts and translation strategies suitable for text type, cultural concepts and related translation strategies. The aim of the course is to enable learners to distinguish and describe the function and the style of a certain language and cultural text.
Course Content Basic concepts in translation studies, Translation types and methods.
Learning Outcomes - Will be able to understand the words and meanings in translation text
- We will develop the ability to use printed and online resources to benefit from the translation process
- They will be able to understand the texts and draw contextual meaning towards another.
- Will identify the main problems encountered in the translation process and learn how to find solutions.
