Goals The objective of the course is to teach the students one and two way reinforced slabs, flat floors, ribbed floors, reinforced concrete foundations, under wall foundations, symmetric and nonsymmetrical foundations, continuous foundations, and foundations settling over elastic soil.
Course Content

1. Week Reinforced structures, structural elements, loads.
2. Week Slabs , Data of project
3. Week Flexural behaviour of slabs and plates, equivalent beam method and TS 500 method.
4. Week Static analysis and design of cantilever and ribbed slabs.
5. Week Static analysis and design of cantilever and ribbed slabs.
6. Week Transfer of the Floor loads to the beams, Design of beams and columns.
7. Week Case study of a single storey building project, demonstration of SAP2000 program for three dimensional static analysis of the structure.
8. Week Three dimensional static analysis of single storey structure by SAP2000 program.
9. Week Mid-Term Exam
10. Week Binding of reinforcing bars and anchorage, and calculation of hook length, types of stirrups and coupling.
11. Week Longitudinal reinforcement in beams.
12. Week Longitudinal reinforcement in columns, problems, the joint creation of the column base connection.
13. Week Foundations, static and reinforcement design of foundations.
14. Week Static analysis and reinforcement design of foundations.
