Goals To teach the origins of drugs, a derivation of physical and chemical properties, routes of administration, the pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties, mechanism of action, side effects, toxicity and their treatment conditions, the application conditions and forms of usage, dosage, indications and contraindications of the various system information about the treatment of diseases properties of drugs. To gain professional knowledge for the correct application of the drug in the clinic.
Course Content Pharmacology study area and its branches, the definition of drug,basic concepts of drug administration, pharmaceutical forms, routes of drug,the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic, drug toxic effects, acute poisoning, antibiotics and other chemotherapeutics,system drugs, antiseptics, antiviral, antiparasitic, AIDS drugs, anticancer drugs, drug and substance abuse.
Learning Outcomes - Tell concepts of pharmacology, working fields and branches; drug definition, the basic rules for the application of drugs, routes and doses of drugs, their effects
- List pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic effect.
- Define clinical pharmacology
- Explain medicines side effects which used to treat, contraindications, and toxicological properties
- List medicines used to treat diseases of other systems
- Define ınterpretation of the recipe, and prescribing information
