Goals The main objectives of this course are to give the students increased knowledge of metabolism, physiology and structure of plants together with a better understanding of regulation of growth and development and influence of environment.
Course Content Introduction To Plant Physiology, Chemical Composition of Plants, Water Metabolism in Plants, Movement and Uptake of Water in Plants, Uptake and Transport of Mineral Substances in Plant, Nitrogen Metabolism and Nutrition Cycles, Transport of Organic Substances in Plants, Water Loss Events in Plants, Photosynthesis and Chemosynthesis Respiration and Fermentation, Transport of Organic Substances in Plants, Growth and Development of Plants, Plant Stress
Learning Outcomes - learn chemical composition, plant-water relations and transport of mineral substances in plants
- understand water loss events and transport of organic substances in plants
- learn knowledge nitrogen metabolism in plnars and nutrition cycles
- understand photosynthesis, respiration and fermentation metabolism
- learn plant growth and development, and their interactions with plant hormones
- understand plant physiological response to environmental stress and their signal transduction ways in plants
