Goals The objective of this course is to provide gaining of knowledge on plant protection machinery and to introduce the effective and environmental sensitive application techniques.
Course Content Pesticide application techniques, Learning some terms about plant protection, Norm dose and affecting factors, Sprayer pump selection criterions, Importance of sprayer nozzles, Adjustment of sprayer boom, To reduce the negative effect of pesticide drift, Importance of sprayer calibration and application techniques. Safety at pesticide application.
Learning Outcomes - Student, learn the necessity and timing of plant protection and pesticide application techniques from past to present,
- Know plant protection machinery and list all components of these machines
- Learn droplet forming and affecting factors
- Understand drift of pesticides and affecting factors,
- Make calibration of sprayers
- define integrated pest management (IPM) in detail.
