Goals To extend and consolidate their knowledge of language.
Course Content Main verbs in main tenses will be reviewed and taught:Pres. Simple, Pres. Continuous, Past Simple, Past Continuous, Future Tenses, Present Perfect, Past Perfect
Learning Outcomes - Have command of basic grammatical patterns
- Identify the needed vocabulary of daily language
- Write a paragraph or build a dialogue on a specific subject
- Read short (three/four paragraphs) passages and comment on the meaning of what they have read
- Write simple paragraphs so as to give their own ideas or examples about the issue
- Talk in daily conversations by understanding what they hear from the other participants
- Be motivated to learn English ( Reducing anxiety level and prejudice by promoting intrinsic motivation with games-rewards-positive reinforcement maintaining safe classroom environment)
- Be aware of the importance of learning English for their academic life
- Be interested in the language ( use of authentic, current and attractive materials)
- Develop learning skills and strategies in the light of instructor’s directions and help to raise their awareness to their competences by conducting various hands-on activities
- Express themselves in English by making use of their knowledge and skills in real life situations
