Goals The aim of the course is to acquire skills to students recognize insects and be able to diagnose the insects, belongs to the order and family, ensure that they are familiar with the such matters, external structure of insects (morphology), anatomy and physiology, to inform students about insect biology and ecology, learn how to collect insect samples, will be killed, take the culture, preparation and will make them available to diagnose and learn the collection principles, to gain the ability to decide to control insect pests, provide the necessary support and basic information on insect science for students who plan to graduate studies.
Course Content General characteristics of the class, Hexapoda (Insecs) branch of Arthropods, history of insects, the role and importance of insect systematics, insect human relations, morphological, anatomical, physiological, developmental and reproductive characteristics of insects, insect ecology, life history strategies, factors affecting the growth of insects classification of insects, insect orders, important plant pests and other animal pests, insects control methods, cultural measures, biological control, physical control, chemical control, classification of insecticides, integrated pest management, tools and machines used in the control of pests, collection of insects, killing, preparation and preparation, culturing, principles and sending of samples constitute the content of the course.
