Goals 1. Giving information about the types of Turkish Folk Literature. 2. Teaching to compile the folk literature products and review. 3. Teaching the Pre-Islamic religion and belief systems and giving information about mitology.
Course Content 1. Types of the fable and folktale. 2. The examination techniques of folk tales and fables. 3. Mitology. 4. The historical development of the Turkish theatre. 5. The types of epic, semai, varsağı. 6. The properties of joke, proverbs, idioms and riddles. 7. The folklore’s relationship with the other disciplines
