Goals Career Planning course enables students to get to know the business world, different sectors and the requirements of these sectors; It aims to raise awareness among students about the importance of career planning in the preparation process for the business world. The course enables students to discover their personal competencies and correctly understand the expectations of the business world; It helps them develop their knowledge and skills in line with the requirements of the relevant sectors.
Course Content Introducing career center activities, exploring career options, understanding the importance of professional relationship networks, developing self-expression and effective communication skills.
Learning Outcomes - Recognition of Career Center Activities: Ensuring that the student is aware of the services offered by the Career Center and establishing a bond between the Career Center and the student.
- Increasing Self-Awareness: Enabling the student to become aware of his or her strengths and areas of improvement and to know himself in terms of his interests, competencies and skills.
- Exploring Career Options: Ensuring that students get to know sectors such as the public sector, private sector, academia and non-governmental organizations, understand the differences between sectors and direct them to a career field that suits their future plans. Students gain awareness about the expectations of the business world and the competencies they prioritize.
- Developing Self-Expression and Effective Communication Skills: Raising awareness about the importance of developing soft skills in the career process. Understanding the importance of issues affecting communication such as body language, diction and address; Developing accurate and effective communication skills.
- Understanding the Importance of Professional Relationship Networks: The student understands the importance of establishing mutually beneficial relationships that are necessary to achieve career goals.
- Recognition of Support Units: Providing information about university units that can support the student's career (international relations / exchange office, etc.) and support services such as TÜBİTAK Scholarships and Mevlana program.
- Learning Effective Resource Use: Learning how to access the right resources and use resources effectively during the career process.
