Goals The aim of the Turkey Economy course is to teach students the historical development and current state of the Turkish economy, analyze economic events throughout the Republic era, and develop their ability to interpret and evaluate future economic challenges.
Course Content The Turkey Economy course examines Turkey’s economic structure and development process from a historical perspective, covering topics such as economic periods of the Republic era, industrialization process, sectoral analyses (agriculture, industry, services), Turkey’s position in the global economy, economic crises, and financial vulnerabilities.
Learning Outcomes - Students gain experience in evaluating the economy of any country.
- Students can make in-depth analysis on Turkey's economy.
- Students can put the theoretical information about macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, growth and development learnt in the period of undergraduate education into practice via undertaking case studies specific to Turkey's economy.
