Goals It is aimed at teaching students the processes of designing, writing, and presenting research in order to gain the ability to conduct scientific research in the social sciences.
Course Content What is Knowledge and Science? What are the Characteristics of Science? What is Research? Basic Concepts in Research, Planning the Research and Determining the Research Purpose and Problem, Academic Ethics-Plagiarism, Research Design, Data Types and Data Acquisition, Literature and Source Review, Qualitative Research and Data Collection Methods in Qualitative Research, Quantitative Research and Data Collection Methods in Quantitative Research, Data Collection Methods in Quantitative Research, Design of Survey Tools, Characteristics and Creation of Questionnaire, Sampling Process in Quantitative Research Sampling Methods in Quantitative Research, Scaling and Scale Types, Error, Reliability and Validity in Scientific Research, Scientific Research Project Presentations
Learning Outcomes - -Students will be able to understand the main scientific methods, identify research questions, conduct a literature review, comprehend the processes of data collection and analysis, and interpret research results.
- Students will be able to demonstrate ethical behavior and develop academic writing skills.
- Students' critical thinking skills are developed and their ability to conduct scientific research is strengthened.
