Goals This course gains knowledge of basic concepts and principles in nursing care by evaluating at cellular level signs and symptoms occurring in case of illness using current and scientific knowledge; skills and competencies related to planning and applying comprehensive perioperative care of surgical patient, assessing and saving the impact of applied care, commenting for creating new information combining information from different disciplines with have information, making analysis and synthesis using different research methods, planning and implementing scientific research, analyzing and reporting the obtained data, using lifelong learning principles.
Course Content Cell, Transport through the cell membrane, capillary dynamics, exchange of fluid between the blood and interstitial fluid, lymphatic system, and edema, Membrane potentials, action potentials, excitation, and rhythmicity reproduction, Genetic control of protein synthesis, cell function and cell, Carbohydrates metabolism, Lipid metabolism, Protein metabolism, Fluid electrolyte balance, and imbalances, Hydrogen ion balance and imbalances, Physiology of Stress and Shock Tissue damage and repair, Physiology of the digestive system, Physiology of the cardiac and respiratory systems, Physiology of the nervous system, Physiology of the renal system
Learning Outcomes - Explain basic concepts and principles in nursing care by evaluating at cellular level signs and symptoms occurring in case of illness using current and scientific knowledge.
- Assesses and saves the impact of applied care, plan and apply a comprehensive perioperative care of surgical patient with a holistic and systematic approach using theoretically, evidence-based and practical knowledge level of expertise in the field of Surgical Nursing.
- Plan and implement a scientific research in the field of Surgical Nursing, analyzes and reports the obtained data.
- Comments for create new information combining information from different disciplines with information in the field of Surgical Nursing and makes analysis and synthesis using different research methods.
- Applies principles of professional development and lifelong learning related to the field of Surgical Nursing.
- Performs evidence-based researches and advanced nursing practice by using the concepts and theories of physiopathology.
- Discusses and shares the current knowledge, developments and studies in an oral, written and visual form with a systematic manner within national and international groups working in the same area.
