Goals : The purpose of this course is that students are taught applications in the crime scene without drugs in order to rescue of lives and prevent deterioration of the situation in the situation which endangers the life or health of people by accident, illness, etc. until health care team provides assistance.
Course Content Introduction to First Aid and Properties of Firs Aid; Assessment of Basic Life Functions; Respiratory and Circulatory System; First Aid in Injuries; First Aid in Bleeding; Shock and First Aid; Burns and First Aid; Poisonings and First Aid; First Aid in Fractures and Sprains; Basic Life Support.
Learning Outcomes - To distinguish the difference between the concepts of first aid and emergency aid.
- Explanation of the functions of the organs forming the respiratory and circulatory system
- Shock findings recognition and to distinguish different types of shock.
- To show first aid attemps in such cases as bleeding, burns and poisoning
- To identify hazards in case of injury tht may occur and to manage the appropriate first aid attemps.
- To manage basic life support of adults, children and babies.
- Discrimination of emergencies in old age
- To show first aid attempts applied in consciousness disorders
