Goals Main purpose of the course is to evaluate renaissance and reform movements which occurred after the end of medieval period in Europe. The course also aims to evaluate the rise of monarchies and weaking ties of feodality in addition to explaining the price revolution, age of discoveries, rise of capitalism and its effect upon societies.
Course Content 1- The history of Europe in the Early Modern Era will be analyzed. 2- The effects of Renaissance and Reformation will be explained. 3- The impact of geographical discoveries on the society and politics of the kingdoms will be discussed. 4- The intellectual change in Europe will be analyzed.
Learning Outcomes - To be able to comprehend the problem of periodization of European history
- To be able to evaluate the socio-economic reasons that were effective in the rise of European civilization
- To be able to interpret the formation of capitalism in Europe and the social transformation it created
