Goals It is aimed to examine and compare the importance, development and contents of the Constitution, Decree Law on Special Education, regulations, circulars and laws regarding individuals with special needs in international and national dimensions
Course Content Basic Concepts: The historical development of policies and legislation for people with disabilities and special education in Turkey; Current Policies and Legal Regulations; International Policies and Legal Arrangements Regarding Persons with Disabilities and Special Education; Applications Applications of the world's Importance in Turkey; International Conventions to which Turkey is a party; General Paradigm Change for People with Disabilities; Compliance Problems Between Policies, Regulations and Applications.
Learning Outcomes - Explain the reasons for the emergence and development of laws on special education in the world and in Turkey.
- Explains the current legal regulations at the international and national level and compares them in terms of human rights.
- Discusses the Constitution of Turkey and the Ministry of National Education's Decree Law, regulations and circulars on Special Education.
- It discusses the Decree Law, regulations and circulars on Special Education in terms of parents, teachers, administrators and other experts.
- Explain the legal rights of individuals with special needs and their families.
- Develops suggestions for the individual, social and educational rights of individuals with special needs and their families.
- Discusses the duties and responsibilities of institutions and organizations established to defend the rights of individuals with special needs.
- Explain the rights and obligations of the special education teacher. Discuss the roles and responsibilities in special education.
