Goals The aim of this course is to understand the basic concepts of dramaturgy, to learn the history of dramaturgy, to give terminological information about the play structure (plot, action plan, conflict, node, climax, personification etc.). It makes theoretical knowledge applicable by analysing play texts.
Course Content In this course it is provided that students acquire the theoretical knowledge about the concepts of dramaturgy and dramaturge, as well as the historical development of dramaturgy. Terminological information related to play structure is applied on play texts.
Learning Outcomes - Has knowledge about basic concepts of dramaturgy.
- Has knowledge of the development of the concepts of dramaturgy and dramaturge.
- Gains knowledge about the basic structure of the play.
- Learns basic concepts related to dramatic design such as plot, action plan, conflict, node, climax, personification etc.
- Improves his/her ability to analyse and interpret with practices he/she has made on examplary plays.
