Goals To teach the most common diseases and pests in agricultural production and their main diagnostic methods and methods used to combat them. To give practical information about plant protection products licensed in Turkey.
Course Content Definition of agricultural struggle and classification of Agricultural Struggle Methods applied in the world by specifying the principles of its implementation The concept of disease, Factors that cause disease and damage to plants Structural changes in the diseased plant; physiological changes, defense mechanisms formed in the plant against pathogens Physiogens; Climatic conditions, soil properties Deficiency and excess of nutrients and weed control Pathogens; Viruses, Viroids, Fungi, Bacteria, Weeds Diseases of leaves, buds, roots and branches in cultivated plants General principles of combating plant pests, cultural measures, Physical struggle Mechanical struggle, Quarantine measures, Biotechnical struggle, Biological Struggle Biological struggle, Chemical struggle Methods of recognizing and combating pests of cultivated plants Methods of recognizing and combating pests of cultivated plants Methods of recognizing and combating pests of cultivated plants Examination of current studies
Learning Outcomes - To be able to recognize the diseases seen in cultivated plants and to apply the methods of struggle.
- To be able to recognize pests seen in cultivated plants and to apply methods of struggle.
- To be able to explain and apply basic information about all kinds of diagnostic and treatment methods related to plant protection.
