Goals To provide basic information about different types of microorganisms, their cell functions, their genetic structures and about methods of fighting harmful microbes.
Course Content Classification, growth and metabolism of microorganisms, antibiotics and vaccines
Learning Outcomes - Students know the cell structure, functioning and proliferation of different groups of microorganisms.
- Students gain the ability to grow and test microorganisms in different media and to observe them with a microscope in lab conditions.
- Students know the basic functioning of antibiotics and vaccines.
