Goals | Course Objectives The objective is to enable students to have a basic knowledge about various social work institutions and their practices, and to motivate and prepare them in connection with studies that they shall do in future. |
Course Content | Introduction to Field Examination. Teaching Model, Information about the Institutions to be visited and Reports to be prepared., Examination in the Provincial Directorate of Social Work Institution,Examination in the intuition/organization in the field of medical social work,Examination in the intuition/organization in the field of judicial-social work, Examination in Kizilay, Examination in the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation, Examination in the intuition/organization in the field of disability, Examination in the institution/organization in the field of old age Examination in the institution/organization in the field of family and children welfare Examination in the institution/organization in the field of youth welfare, Examination in the community center , Examination in the family consulting center, Examination in the psychiatry clinic in the field of psychiatric social work |
Learning Outcomes |
- At the end of this course, students; Shall acquire the skill to correlate between the fields, practices and institutions of social work, - Shall find the opportunity to become acquainted with workplaces in social works, - Shall find the opportunity to learn about the problems and necessities observed in institutions and organizations, - Shall acquire the skill to reason about the solution of problems and fulfillment of necessities, and to provide solutions, - Shall be capable of assessing the social work system in Turkey as a whole. |
