Goals Basic thermodynamic concepts, business, laws of thermodynamics, cycles, motor cycles, power, efficiency of expression, and theories about the burning of fuels will gain competencies.
Course Content Thermodynamic Variables, Laws of Thermodynamics, Thermodynamic Potentials, Gas Power Cycles, Vapor Power Cycles.
Learning Outcomes - Students shall learn the first and second laws of thermodynamics including the concepts of energy and entropy.
- Students shall gain the ability of analysing and designing mathematical models for closed and open systems using the basic conservation laws
- Students will recognize the importance of quality and conditions for the energy balance based on the second law.
