Goals The aim of this course is to be defined fiberboard and classfied, to provide the students with a general knowledge on raw material in fiberboard industries, used adhesive resins and chemical additives in fiberboard production, to help them to understand chemical reactions in processes, to understand methods of fiberboard production, wet-process fiberboard manufacturing, dry and semi-dry process fiberboard manufacturing, to have them to study multi-opening board and continue pres, to give them knowledge on objectives and application of heat treatment for fibeboard, to learn determine and evaluation of physical and mechanical properties of fiberboard.
Course Content Define fiberboard and be classified, describe raw material in fiberboard manufacturing.
Learning Outcomes - Define fiberboard and be classified, describe raw material in fiberboard manufacturing, Anatomical and chemical structure of raw material, and to evaluate chemical reaction during processes. Establish relations between adhesive resins production and application and to summarize chemical additives for special objective in fiberboard industries. Evaluate methods of fiberboard production, especially pretreatment before defibrator method, .Wet processing, chemical addition, fibre drying, cyclone separation for medium densitiy fiberboard production. Summarize forming of fiberboard, wet-process fiberboard manufacturing, Dry and semi-dry process fiberboard manufacturing. Define multi-opening board and continue press and heat treatment, tempering and humidification of fiberboard. Evaluate physical and mechanical properties of fiberboard.
