[] About Program

The Surveying and Cadastre Program has transitioned to a 3+1 education model to adapt to the dynamic structure of the sector and technological developments. This new system aims to complement three semesters of theoretical education with one semester of full-time on-the-job training. The program aims to train qualified technicians who can proficiently use modern surveying instruments (GNSS, Total Station, etc.), are proficient in CAD-based software, and can apply current professional legislation (Zoning and Cadastre Law) to field applications. Updated in line with the expectations of the public and private sectors, this model enables graduates to enter the workforce equipped with skills in digital data production, official correspondence rules, and teamwork.

The goal is to train technical personnel who are competent in surveying, analysis, map production, and field applications, equipped with up-to-date legislation and technologies, and who possess numerical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, and who are committed to ethical values, in accordance with the needs of the mapping and cadastre sector.

Our goal is to be a leading educational program in the field of Mapping and Cadastre, training qualified technical personnel who are proficient in modern technologies, committed to professional ethical values, capable of analytical thinking, and possess a sense of social responsibility.

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an Associate Degree in Mapping and Cadastre.

It is a program that provides associate degree education.
[] Admission Requirements
The admissions of students to the programs are made according to the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM – University entrance exam) within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC). After students inform the Student Selection and Placement Center about what programs they want to study at, students are placed in the related programs according to their scores they got from the exam. Graduates of related vocational high schools can enroll in the department within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC).

Foreign students are admitted to the related programs with the scores of internationally acceptable exams such as SAT, ACT or are admitted to the related programs with their high school graduation grades (Undergraduate and Graduate Programs for Foreign Students Admission Guidelines).

The admission of students of General Academic Exchange Protocol to the related programs are done within the framework of the bilateral agreements (ERASMUS, FARABI, etc) signed between Duzce University and the partner universities. Guest students may enroll into the courses in this program, if the related academic unit approves. Sufficient language knowledge is required to monitor the program.
[] Course's Contrubution To Program
To complete the available courses in the program (a total of 120 ECTS) successfully, the students have to get at least 50 points out of 100 and required to achieve 2.00 on a 4.00 weighted grade point average. To graduate from the programs students should get at least DD in all of the courses provided.
[] Recognition of Prior Learning
Students enrolled in DU might be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. A student can be exempted from a certain course provided related course content previously received from another institution complies with that of DU, which is subject to approval and verification by the Board of faculty/graduate school/school.

Recognition of Education Abroad

DU recognises academic terms and courses studied by a student that has been involved in an exchange programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.

In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.

At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.

Increasing the importance of education in the field of Mapping and Cadastre and raising awareness of its relations with other disciplines. It is aimed to train professional staff who enjoy working in open air and on land, who know the written and verbal communication rules and who have effective communication skills.

5 To be able to collect and process data in the production of maps and prepare numerical projects in accordance with the purpose.

9 To be able to make regional plans and zoning plans.
10 To have group work and communication skills.
11 Being conscious about the principles of Atatürk, having knowledge about the history of revolution and having the ability to use the Turkish language correctly and to make basic official correspondence.

They can easily find jobs in the relevant units of all state institutions that need topographic maps and digital terrain models created as a base for land-based projects, in the municipalities' science departments, in the Map and Cadastre offices, and in Licensed Maps and Engineering Offices (LİHKAP).
[] The Upper Stage of a Transition
Students who graduate from this program can continue their undergraduate programs in accordance with the determined rules.

  • The Map and Cadastre Program is organized 120 ECTS.
  • The program includes the Common Compulsory Courses in the Higher Education Law and other common courses determined by the English and University Senate.
  • The Surveying and Cadastre Program is structured on a 3+1 education model to adapt to sectoral needs and technological developments. Within this structure, students receive theoretical and practical training in modern surveying equipment (GNSS, Total Station), CAD-based software, and professional legislation over three semesters. The final semester is entirely dedicated to on-the-job training, allowing students to experience their acquired knowledge in both field and office settings. This dynamic curriculum is continuously updated in line with the expectations of the public and private sectors, aiming to fully prepare graduates for the job market.

He succeeded in these courses by writing to the courses in the curriculum of the undergraduate department programs that he enrolled. Students who have successfully completed the studies such as the internship and graduation project shown in the Düzce University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Training and Exam Regulations are considered to have completed the university education.
