[] About Program
The Map and Cadastre Program has been implemented in accordance with the universal principles of science, the European Union and Higher Education qualifications framework, professional and technological developments, and the relevant legislation provisions of the Higher Education Institutions within the scope of the İKMEP (Human Resources Development Project), which was launched in the 2010-2011 academic period. . While determining the vocational courses, modules and elective courses applied in the program; sector demands, regional needs, conditions of the educational institution, and student orientations and demands were taken into account.

It emphasizes the need for the profession of Mapping and Cadastre Technician in these days when the completion of the cadastre of our country or the re-updating of the areas whose cadastre has already been completed is primarily taken into the agenda. Again, the fact that at least two Map and Cadastre Technicians will be employed legally in hundreds of licensed map offices that will be implemented these days makes this profession important. Accordingly, Map and Cadastre Technician take charge in the preparation of land information and documents and the implementation of the projects prepared on the land. Many public institutions such as the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, General Directorate of Highways, Iller Bank, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Municipalities have employment opportunities.

It is estimated that the Map and Cadastre sector will have important incentives and investments in our country and especially in the East and Southeast Regions in the next decade, and considering that all investments will be linked to cartography activities, there will be an intense increase in employment.

The aim of the program is to train technical staff who will be involved in the production and development of maps of all scales, which are the basis for the land-based projects, which carry out studies and applications of the projects, and that establish a relationship between the map engineers and technicians who will take part in the design and implementation of urban and zoning plans.
