In this program, personnel who are able to perform social security transactions in public institutions and private enterprises can be trained. Those who want to work in the social security service need to have a strong sense of responsibility and a strong sense of responsibility, a strong memory, a careful work on details, and social relationships and communication. Administrative information is gained and the graduates of this program form the basis for their activities in administrative positions in public institutions and private enterprises.

 

Working places; It is possible to take social security service in Social Security Institution and social security transactions in public institutions and private sector enterprises. Since the two-year training in this program is considered as a step in completing the undergraduate degree, when the undergraduate degree is completed, the faculty graduate will have all the rights that the graduate has won.

 

The duration of vocational training is 2 years; Students are required to successfully complete 30 days of industry-based training (internship) in addition to the compulsory and elective courses given to the students during the training period.

               

The salaries of Social Security Professionals vary according to the knowledge, skills and performance of the workplace they are working in. Their fees are generally higher than the minimum wage, and are increasing according to the experience and performance of the workplace.

Purpose of the Social Security Program is able to teach professional staff  social security services and operations at an applied level being in the first place Social Security Institution as well as public institutions and private enterprises. It is also expected that they will have the entrepreneurial, analytical thinking ability to closely follow the innovations from the social security department graduates. 



[] Objectives

Social security service and operations at the applied level learners, to perform the operations in the professional environment, who knows the procedures at the level of civil servants in the Social Security Institution, public institutions and private enterprises and social security transactions as well as accounting and tax transactions can support, following closely the legislative changes related to the field, having a strong awareness of working in the service sector, social relationships and communication are strong,to become a program that raises social security professionals with moral values.

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an Associate Degree in Social Security.

It is a program that provides associate degree education.
[] Admission Requirements
The admissions of students to the programs are made according to the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM – University entrance exam) within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC). After students inform the Student Selection and Placement Center about what programs they want to study at, students are placed in the related programs according to their scores they got from the exam. Graduates of related vocational high schools can enroll in the department within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC).

Foreign students are admitted to the related programs with the scores of internationally acceptable exams such as SAT, ACT or are admitted to the related programs with their high school graduation grades (Undergraduate and Graduate Programs for Foreign Students Admission Guidelines).

The admission of students of General Academic Exchange Protocol to the related programs are done within the framework of the bilateral agreements (ERASMUS, FARABI, etc) signed between Duzce University and the partner universities. Guest students may enroll into the courses in this program, if the related academic unit approves. Sufficient language knowledge is required to monitor the program.
[] Course's Contrubution To Program
To complete the available courses in the program (a total of 120 ECTS) successfully, the students have to get at least 50 points out of 100 and required to achieve 2.00 on a 4.00 weighted grade point average. To graduate from the programs students should get at least DD in all of the courses provided.Students are also required to complete the compulsory practice in the specified time.
[] Recognition of Prior Learning
Students enrolled in DU might be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. A student can be exempted from a certain course provided related course content previously received from another institution complies with that of DU, which is subject to approval and verification by the Board of faculty/graduate school/school.

Recognition of Education Abroad

DU recognises academic terms and courses studied by a student that has been involved in an exchange programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.

In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.

At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.

As a social security programme, our purpose is able to teach well-qualified graduated social security affairs with computer aided manufacturing, being in the first place, social security institution and Turkish employment agency, according to social security legislation institution and foundations’s concerning, in establihments working staff’s employee files preparing properly and just in time, powerful in social intercourse and communication, have a sense of responsibility, respect human rights, analytical thinking.

1 Being conscious about principles of Atatürk, having knowledge in the history of revolutions, patriotic, fond of Turkish Independence, adhere to national and spiritual values.
2 To know the structure and rules of Turkish language, to use Turkish properly and effectively.
3 To know the basic concepts and development processes of the social security field and to aim for continuous development in the field.
4 To have knowledge and skills about the services and transactions performed by the officials of the Social Security Institution and Turkish Employment Agency.
5 To do operation related to social security in private entities, public institutions, municipalities and other public service entities, to develop solutions to institutional problems.
6 Having basic economics knowledge in world, Turkey and business, to be able to interpret, analyze, criticize and synthesize both economic and professional issues.
7 Having the knowledge and skills about the insurance transactions made in insurance companies, to work in accordance with quality management and processes.
8 To know the legal responsibilities and follow the up-to-date social security legislation.
9 To have knowledge of a foreign language that can follow the literature and innovations in the field.
10 To have knowledge and skills to do social security procedures in computer environment, to be able to use computer software prepared about internet technologies and office and social security procedures.
11 As a social security professional, having knowledge and awareness of social responsibility, professional ethics and social security rights.
12 Having the consciousness of working in the service sector, To communicate effectively with the people they serve, Having basic knowledge in the field of human resources with an understanding of team work.
13 To have the knowledge and skills to support accounting and tax transactions and practices in the workplace where they work.

[] Professional Profile of Graduates

Social security program graduates can employed in the field of office and administrative services, in the central organization and provincial directorates of the Social Security Institution affiliated to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, in municipalities, other public institutions and organizations.

[] The Upper Stage of a Transition
Successful completion of the Social Security Associate degree program is eligible to become a Social Security Professional. In addition, they can make a vertical transition to Social Services Undergraduate Programs if they are successful in the vertical transition examination made by OSYM.
[] Program Structure

The total amount of national credit required by the Social Security Program students is 85 that 22 of these credits belong to elective courses. The total amount of ECTS credits is determined as 120. The duration of the Social Security Program is 2 years.

[] Graduation Requirements

In In order to graduate from the Social Security Program, the amount of national credit students must complete is 87 credits, 22 of which are for elective courses. The amount of ECTS credits has been determined as 32 for the 2nd semester and 30 for the other semesters, for a total of 122. The education period of the Social Security Program is 2 years.

The student who has successfully completed the courses shown in the
curricula and has completed all the activities mentioned in this Regulation and
other relevant legislation, must also have completed a successful internship
within 30 business days for graduation. The internship has not been credited
with the program as it is a prerequisite for graduation. AGNOs must be at least
2.00 and all other studies must be completed.
