In the machine program; It trains technicians who have academic knowledge and professional practice competencies at the technician level, who can successfully work in the fields of design, production and R&D in national and international industrial organizations, who are prone to team work, who are sensitive to the environment, and who have social and professional ethical awareness.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, our students have the opportunity to gain field-specific work experience by working full-time in businesses for one semester, using the educational knowledge they have gained over three semesters with the +1 education model.
Students graduating from the machinery program have basic knowledge and skills in traditional manufacturing methods (lathe, milling, Welding,…), computer-aided design and manufacturing methods (CAD-CAM, CNC,…), material selection, technical drawing, hydraulic-pneumatic applications.
PEA1: To train technicians who have basic knowledge and skills in machine manufacturing, material selection and production processes, and can use traditional and computer-aided manufacturing techniques effectively.
PEA2: To train individuals who can design mechanical systems using technical drawing, computer-aided design (CAD) and analysis methods, plan and implement production processes.
PEA3: To train graduates who are prone to teamwork, have developed communication skills, adhere to professional ethical values and work in accordance with occupational health and safety rules.
PEA4: To educate individuals who have the awareness of continuous learning, who can follow technological developments, who can follow innovations in the professional field with foreign language knowledge and who can continue their professional development.
The Machinery Program aims to be a pioneering educational program that produces innovative and sustainable designs that comply with national and international production standards, can adapt quickly to technological developments, and trains technicians with leadership qualities. The program aims to provide a learning environment equipped with application-based learning approaches that support students in achieving their career goals in the field of machinery, and also contribute to society through industry and academic collaborations.
Students
who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an Associate Degree in
Machinery.
It is a program that provides associate degree education.
The admissions of
students to the programs are made according to the Student Selection and
Placement Center (OSYM – University entrance exam) within the framework set by
the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC). After students inform the
Student Selection and Placement Center about what programs they want to study
at, students are placed in the related programs according to their scores they
got from the exam. Graduates of related vocational high schools can enroll in
the department within the framework set by the regulations of Higher
Education Council (HEC).
Foreign students are admitted to the related programs with
the scores of internationally acceptable exams such as SAT, ACT or are admitted
to the related programs with their high school graduation grades (Undergraduate
and Graduate Programs for Foreign Students Admission Guidelines).
The admission of students of General Academic Exchange
Protocol to the related programs are done within the framework of the bilateral
agreements (ERASMUS, FARABI, etc) signed between Duzce University and the
partner universities. Guest students may enroll into the courses in this
program, if the related academic unit approves. Sufficient language knowledge
is required to monitor the program.
Students must successfully complete all courses in the program (total 120 ECTS) and receive at least 50 points out of 100 from each course. They must obtain a minimum General Weighted Grade Point Average (GANO) of 2.00 out of 4.00. They must also successfully complete all courses stipulated in the curriculum by receiving at least a DD grade. Students must have completed the mandatory one-semester (14-week) vocational training practice course in the workplace.
Students studying at Düzce University may be exempt from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken at another institution is compatible with the content of the course given at Düzce University and is approved by the relevant faculty/institute/school board of directors, the student may be exempt from this course.
Recognition of Overseas Education
The academic terms and courses of students who study abroad as exchange students for one or two semesters at our contracted universities and return are recognized by Düzce University.
Students selected to benefit from Student Education Mobility within the scope of the ERASMUS program are obliged to prepare a study agreement with their ERASMUS Unit Coordinators before the start of their mobility period. This learning agreement; It shows the courses and ECTS values that the student will take at the partner university where he/she will study.
In addition, students are required to prepare a Recognition Sheet. In this document, the credit transfer to be made is determined by showing the equivalents of the courses students will take abroad at Düzce University.
At the end of the exchange period, the courses taken by the student abroad are shown in their transcripts along with their original codes and names, ECTS Credits and grades. In the official transcripts of the students, these courses are accompanied by the abbreviation "ET", which means "course taken at foreign universities within the scope of the ERASMUS Program and cooperation agreements".
In the machinery program, education is provided for 4 semesters (minimum 14 weeks each semester) for 2 years. In order to graduate, students must complete the vocational training in business (+1) course by practicing in the business for 14 weeks. The education provided in this program is suitable for today's technology and has the adequacy, flexibility and diversity to meet the expectations of the industry.
