After the establishment of Düzce University with the law numbered 5467 published in the Official Gazette dated March 17, 2006 and numbered 26111, the Institute of Social Sciences, which has been within Düzce University since 23.08.2007, the Institute of Health Sciences, which started its education on 18.01.2007 in accordance with Article 19 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the Institute of Science, which was established on 17/03/2006, and the Institute of Fine Arts, which was established with the Decree of the Council of Ministers published in the Official Gazette dated 01. 11.2016 dated Official Gazette, were closed with the Presidential Decree No. 4180, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 29.06.2021 and numbered 31526, and Düzce University Graduate Education Institute was established.
In our Institute, education is given in Doctorate, Proficiency in Art, Master's Degree programs with / without Thesis.
To provide specialization with an understanding based on learning to learn and to produce projects on a scientific scale on the subjects required by the relevant sectors in this process.
Master's Degree in Painting
This program is a graduate level program.
In the conditions of registration and admission, in accordance with the provisions of Düzce University, GRADUATE EDUCATION AND TEACHING REGULATION, the criteria of the Head of the Department are sought.
The Master's program with thesis consists of at least seven courses, one seminar course and a thesis study, but not less than twenty-one credits. The seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. According to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), the Master's program consists of at least 120 ECTS credits, including at least eight courses and thesis studies, including seminar courses, not less than 60 ECTS credits. The student must register for the dissertation period at the latest every semester following the appointment of the advisor.
The student who prepares the thesis defends the text, explaining and documenting his / her results such as exhibition, project, recital, concert, representation in accordance with the spelling rules accepted by the Senate, and defending his / her studies such as thesis, exhibition, project, recital, concert, representation in front of the jury orally.
Students studying at the State University may be exempted from certain courses in accordance with certain regulations. If the content of the course taken in another institution is appropriate to the content of the course given in the above-mentioned subject and approved by the related faculty / institute / school board, the student may be exempted from this course.
Recognition of Education Abroad
The academic semesters and courses of the students who study and return as an exchange student for one or two semesters in the universities we are contracted abroad are recognized by the DÜ.Students who are selected to take advantage of Student Learning Mobility within the scope of ERASMUS program are obliged to prepare a learning agreement with ERASMUS Unit Coordinators before they start their mobility periods. This learning agreement; show common university credit courses and ECTS values.In addition, students are required to prepare Recognition Sheet. In this document, the credits to be made are determined by showing the equivalent equivalents of the courses that the students will take abroad.At the end of the exchange period, the courses taken abroad by the student are shown in their transcripts, together with their original code and names, and ECTS Credits and grades. In addition to these courses, the official transcripts of the students include the abbreviation ”ET“ which means AS ERASMUS Program and the courses taken in foreign universities within the scope of cooperation agreements Öğ.Students studying at the university may be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. Students who graduated from the Department of Painting can work in private and public institutions as a painter, art consultant, museum supervisor, or as the person in charge of the gallery. The duration of the graduate program with thesis is four semesters regardless of whether or not it has been registered for each semester starting from the period in which the program is enrolled.

They must obtain at least 2.50 Grade Point Average (GANO) over 4.00.
