Surgical Nursing Department Master's Program was established in 2021 within the body of Düzce University Health Sciences Institute. The program consists of theoretical and applied courses covering 4 semesters (2 years) and thesis work. The student who successfully completes at least 21 credits of course and master's thesis graduates from the program as a science specialist. The program is run by 4 faculty members.
Having extensive and up-to-date knowledge in the field of Surgical Nursing, able to plan and implement a scientific research, comprehend and use the interdisciplinary team approach, comprehensively plan and apply the perioperative care of a surgical patient, plan and implement a scientific research in the field, analyze and report the data obtained. Our aim is to train a knowledgeable, competent and competent Surgical Diseases Nursing specialist who can publish this report in a national journal or present it in a scientific meeting.

Compulsory credit burden of master of surgical nursing is 21 national credit (120 ECTS) to graduated from this program. A student who to succeed relavant course, that is required to get at least 70 on 100 point scale. Master with thesis of student who obtained to results related to thesis, must writes concordantly with relevant thesis writing guide and defense of thesis verbally in front of a jury. The graduation date of the student's is when the signed copy of the thesis is delivered to the institute by examination jury commission.
Successful students that have attended at least one semester at the university or at graduate programs of other higher education institutions may transfer to another graduate program at the university. In order for the applications to be accepted; In the related department / master's course, there are sufficient student quotas for doctoral / artistic students, students have got the conditions for student admission to the graduate programs and at least one semester is taken by the graduate students. Must have received the achievement grades specified in the third paragraph of Article 16 of the Postgraduate Education-Training and Examination Regulations and must have provided the necessary general academic averages. Acceptance of the students who are deemed to be suitable for the transfer is finalized by the decision of the institute board of directors. The graduate programs without thesis can not be transferred to graduate programs with thesis. Only students who are in the process of taking courses can apply for a transfer to the undergraduate education programs of the university.

The master program is conducted by Surgical Nursing department's faculty. The students registered to this program, have to get at least 21 national and 120 ECTS credits during 2 years (4 semesters). The students should choose elective courses inside and outside the department. All the courses in master program are for each semester. The students complete all the courses in two semesters and start thesis study in third semester.
Midterms exam are done in semester and student get study such as laboratory studies, homework , projects and workplace done along semester which are accepted as a midterm exam. A final exam belongs to a course is performed end of this course's semester. Unless a student join a final exam, he/she get FF mark. Excuse examination is able to be accepted as final or midterm exams. When a student's excuse is accepted by the academic department administirative comittee, he/she use of midterm exam rights at the same semester and final exam rights within one month by end of the semester.
Achievement status of a course identify with pass mark. Pass mark is assessed together success of final exam and studies such as midterm exams, practice, homework. İmpact of assessments during the semester on achievement mark is able to be maximum fifty persentage. Students of master to be succeed a course, that is requered to get at least 70 point.
A student who has completed all of the courses in the program and successfully completed the master's thesis within the maximum duration and who has graduated from the institute by submitting all relevant information and documents mentioned in Article 10 of Düzce University Graduate Education Regulations, is sufficiency. The maximum duration of the program is four semesters, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled for each semester, starting from the semester the course is given and the program is completed in maximum six semesters.
