[] About Program

Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing graduate program at Düzce University started in 2021. Program; It is conducted by five lecturers; one professor, one associate professor and three assistant professors.

This program aims to contribute to improving and protection of women's health by means of causing student to gain attitudes and skills providing to handle physical and psycho-social needs concerning women's sexual and reproductive health issues within the framework of gender equality and in line with ethical principles

[] Admission Requirements

To have a Bachelor of Nursing Diploma and to fulfill the application requirements of Düzce University Graduate Education Institute.

[] Course's Contrubution To Program

The program has 120 ECTS credits in total. It consists of compulsory and elective courses.  Students in masters program with thesis have to write the results regarding with their thesis according to the concerned institute?s guideline and defend it orally in front of the committee members. After completion of thesis defense examination an absolute majority of committee members will decide whether the thesis is accepted, rejected or accepted pending revision. Students who need to correct their thesis have to complete the corrections within three months and defend their thesis in front of the same committee members.

Students who enroll directly in the program or come with lateral transfer may be exempt from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. Students may be exempted from courses if the course content is approved by the relevant college/faculty/institute administrative board and applied within the prescribed period.

[] Program Structure

There are 6 compulsory and 11 elective courses within the scope of the Obstetrics Gynecology Nursing Master's Program. The program is completed in 4 semesters. The first two semesters cover the course period, and the third and fourth semesters cover the thesis work.

[] Graduation Requirements

The program has 120 ECTS credits in total. Students who completed the requirements of the graduate program successfully mentioned in D8 section must prepare a master thesis in the field of Obstetric and Women?s Diseases Nursing under the guidance of his/her advisor and present it orally in front of the thesis committee members in order to graduate.
