[] About Program

Movement and Training Sciences Master's Programme is carried out under the umbrella of Düzce University Graduate School of Education, Department of Movement and Training Sciences. The Department of Movement and Training Sciences is a field of science that examines and researches human movements systematically and scientifically from a multidisciplinary perspective. Therefore, within the scope of Movement Sciences, the biomechanical structure and properties of human movements in different sports or sports branches are examined and analysed in order to develop more economical and more applicable techniques, as well as to prevent sports injuries and to increase sports performance. During the realisation of biomotor abilities, it focuses on understanding the role of the nervous - muscular system in controlling the movements to ensure purposeful movement and coordination. 

When examined in the dimension of Training Sciences, it includes topics such as determining the components affecting sportive performance, appropriate training models, appropriate test and analysis methods for evaluation, investigating the effects of different training models on performance with ethical frameworks, examining the scope and content of training within the framework of periodisation principles. Master's students can become experts in the field of Movement and Training Sciences. The duration of the programme is determined as 4 semesters. The language of the programme is Turkish.

The aim of our department is to transfer the information and terms in the science of Movement and Training to our students in a useful way. 

[] Objectives

The mission of our master's programme in the Department of Movement and Training is to train well-equipped scientists competent in movement and training sciences and sports sciences. It is aimed to train qualified people who follow current developments, intellectual and visionary. The main goal of our department is to teach the importance of the role of movement in the human body and the effects of training in the best way.

- To graduate from the Department of Coaching Education of the Faculty of Sports Sciences or Physical Education and Sports High Schools. 

- To have at least 60 points from ALES exam. 

- To be successful by getting at least 60 points in the oral or written science exam.

Master's Degree

All students are required to complete 120 ECTS in a total of at least 4 semesters and no more than 6 semesters. 


To be successful in 3 compulsory courses. 


To be successful in 4 Elective Courses. 


To be successful in Seminar - Specialization Area Course and Thesis Study Courses.

[] Professional Profile of Graduates

During the master's degree process, candidates who score at least 50 points from YDS and YÖK language exams and at least 70 points from ALES exam can apply for the position of Research Assistant if they fulfill the relevant conditions. 

[] The Upper Stage of a Transition

Candidates who fulfill the requirement of being successful in master's education. Yökdil-YDS exams with at least 55 points and ALES exam with at least 70 points can apply to the doctoral program. 

[] Program Structure

While the Master's program of the Department of Movement and Training Sciences applies an intensive curriculum in the field of sports sciences, it carries out an intensive and planned education plan in order to realize a good coach, sports specialist and academic career in these fields as a graduate after the master's education process. In this process, it continues education by developing various educational models in order to develop students' research strategies and maximize their presentation skills.  The education program of the department includes compulsory and elective courses related to the coaching profession and general culture. 

[] Examinations, Assessment and Grading

Examination evaluation and grading is carried out by the lecturers according to the requirements of the course. Homework can be carried out through written exams or oral presentations.
