In this program, computer-aided personnel are employed in the accounting and accountancy profession in the enterprises. Those who want to work in the field of computerized accounting and tax applications are required to be successful in mathematics and logic, strong in memory, able to work on details for a long time, and have strong sense of responsibility. Second degree management knowledge and skills are gained and the graduates of this program are the basis for their activities in private enterprises and organizations.



Working places; It may be possible to take positions in the accounting departments of the private sector institutions, in the civil servants of the private sector, in the administrative units of the private sector, as well as being a financial consultant by carrying out independent accountancy and completing the license. The two-year training in this program is considered a step in completing the undergraduate degree, so when the undergraduate degree is completed, the faculty graduate will have all the rights that the graduate has won.

To educate professionals who have the ability to comprehend the accounting functions in the enterprises, to ensure the functioning of the accounting transactions in a healthy and reliable manner, to have the ability to comprehend the accounting and tax applications, requirements and innovations in the business life, cumulative, entrepreneurial and analytical thinking ability.

Having the knowledge of financial accounting and having the substructure to apply the transactions within the period and end of the term theoretically and practically in relation with financial accounting, to process accounting documents that make social accounting transactions and tax calculations that can prepare and analyze financial statements and concepts and financial statements who are able to define and use documents that are used in business life and can control and evaluate the legislative appropriateness of accounting data, can understand the basic concepts of business management, its relations with its aims and environment, business functions and relations between them, Knowing the basic rules of the Turkish legal system and the commercial legislation to which the operator is subject, mastering the basic principles and concepts of the economy, making commercial calculations, practicing in the professional field To be able to use the computer programs in the computer environment, to have knowledge about the acquisition, processing and analysis of numerical data, to have the ability of individual work in the field and to have entrepreneurship ability.

[] Admission Requirements
The admissions of students to the programs are made according to the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM – University entrance exam) within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC). After students inform the Student Selection and Placement Center about what programs they want to study at, students are placed in the related programs according to their scores they got from the exam. Graduates of related vocational high schools can enroll in the department within the framework set by the regulations of Higher Education Council (HEC).

Foreign students are admitted to the related programs with the scores of internationally acceptable exams such as SAT, ACT or are admitted to the related programs with their high school graduation grades (Undergraduate and Graduate Programs for Foreign Students Admission Guidelines).

The admission of students of General Academic Exchange Protocol to the related programs are done within the framework of the bilateral agreements (ERASMUS, FARABI, etc) signed between Duzce University and the partner universities. Guest students may enroll into the courses in this program, if the related academic unit approves. Sufficient language knowledge is required to monitor the program.
[] Course's Contrubution To Program
To complete the available courses in the program (a total of 122 ECTS) successfully, the students have to get at least 50 points out of 100 and required to achieve 2.00 on a 4.00 weighted grade point average. To graduate from the programs students should get at least DD in all of the courses provided.Students are also required to complete the compulsory practice in the specified time.
[] Recognition of Prior Learning
Students enrolled in DU might be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. A student can be exempted from a certain course provided related course content previously received from another institution complies with that of DU, which is subject to approval and verification by the Board of faculty/graduate school/school.

Recognition of Education Abroad

DU recognises academic terms and courses studied by a student that has been involved in an exchange programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.

In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.

At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.

The purpose of our Accounting and Tax Practices program is to train staff who will serve accounting and tax matters, accounting or consultancy branches and accounting and finance departments of commercial companies. To be able to comprehend the basic information in accounting, to be able to comprehend preliminary accounting transactions, to understand accounting functions and importance, to be able to follow legislation related to the profession, to be able to create accounting records, to analyze financial structure and to use financial values ​​in decision making process.

 

To be able to recognize the basic concepts and documents related to accounting, to comprehend the principles related to balance sheet and income table regulation from financial statements, to edit financial statements in computer environment and to use accounting related package programs. Understanding the place of tax law in the legal system, comprehending the application of resources, basic concepts about taxation, taxation process.

[] Professional Profile of Graduates
Graduates of the Accounting Program have the opportunity to work as assistant experts, researchers, assistant auditors and assistant managers in the business, private and public sector businesses in the accounting, finance and marketing departments. They can also work as professional at accounting offices.
[] The Upper Stage of a Transition
Those who successfully complete the accounting associate degree program are entitled to become an Accounting Professional. In addition, if they succeed in the vertical transition exam held by ÖSYM, Business, Labor Economy and Industrial Relations, Business Information Management, Business-Economics, Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Accounting and Financial Management, Accounting and Finance Teaching, International Finance, International Business, International They can make vertical transfer to Trade, International Trade and Business, International Trade and Finance Undergraduate programs.
[] Program Structure
The accounting program is organized as 85 local credits and 120 ECTS. The program includes common compulsory courses in the Higher Education Law and other common courses determined by the English and University Senate. Students have to do an internship for 30 working days. They can do their internship in accordance with Düzce University's Associate Degree Education and Training Directive, in the companies approved by program coordinators.
