Düzce University Management Information Systems Master's program was opened in the spring semester of the 2016-2017 academic year. Management Information Systems Master's degree program is given by Düzce University Graduate School of Graduate Studies Directorate under the Department of Management Information Systems at Düzce University Faculty of Business Administration. Our academic staff, who are experts in their fields, provide education to students based on their academic background and their experience in the private sector. As a result of today's innovations in information technology, many changes have occurred in the traditional business world. Information systems have become essential for realizing strategic business objectives as well as daily activities.
It is this continuous change in technology, management and business processes that makes the Management Information Systems department, which arises from the need to carry out information systems and business management in a common way for businesses to make a profit, a field of study. The Department of Management Information Systems offers solutions to the needs of this continuous change.

Using current management approaches and information systems effectively, will be able to plan, develop, implement and, when necessary, improve business processes,to train specialists who have internalized business ethics and adopted innovation as their motto.
The aim of our department is to raise our entrepreneur and manager candidates to the level of awareness appropriate to the rapidly developing digital industry age and to provide them with the necessary equipment for this.
Students who successfully complete the program are entitled to receive a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems.

• Participating in the science and oral exams to be held by Düzce University Graduate Level Education Institute.
• Students who are decided to study a scientific preparatory program take undergraduate courses deemed appropriate by the head of the department. A student can take a maximum of 6 scientific preparation courses.
The master's program with thesis consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis study, provided that it is not less than twenty-one credits in total. Seminar course and thesis study are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The master's program with thesis consists of a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including at least eight courses including the seminar course and thesis study, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits. The student has to register for the thesis period every semester starting from the semester following the appointment of the advisor at the latest.
Students studying at DU may be exempted from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the content of the course taken at another institution is appropriate to the content of the course given at DU and approved by the relevant faculty/institute/school board of directors, the student may be exempted from this course.
Recognition of Education Abroad
The academic semesters and courses of returning students who study as exchange students for one or two semesters at universities abroad with which we have an agreement are recognized by DU.
Students selected to benefit from Student Learning Mobility within the scope of the ERASMUS program are obliged to prepare a learning agreement with their ERASMUS Unit Coordinators before the start of their mobility period. This learning agreement shows the courses and ECTS values that the student will take at the partner university where the student will study.
In addition, students are required to prepare a Recognition Sheet. In this document, the equivalents of the courses that students will take abroad are shown and the credit transfer to be made is determined.
At the end of the exchange period, the courses taken abroad are shown on the transcripts with their original codes and names, ECTS credits and grades. In the official transcripts of the students, the abbreviation “ET”, which stands for “courses taken at universities abroad within the scope of the ERASMUS Program and cooperation agreements”, appears next to these courses.
