Candidates who hold a bachelor's degree or a diploma/recognition certificate issued by the Higher Education Council and who are expected to graduate by the final registration date can apply for the graduate program.
For applicants to the thesis-based master's program, a score from the ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) in the field of Equal Weight (EA) and a required Weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) for the program applied to are mandatory.
A master's program can be conducted in two forms: with a thesis and without a thesis. A successful student who has completed at least one semester in a master's program in another department or institute within the same higher education institution, or in a graduate program at another higher education institution, may be admitted to the program through horizontal transfer. The conditions for admission through horizontal transfer are determined by the regulations accepted by the relevant senate.
As of the 2024-2025 academic year, the Department of Classroom Education continues to train teachers and classroom education specialists with 2 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 1 Doctoral Faculty Member and 2 Research Assistants. There are dozens of books written, edited and translated by the faculty members of our department, each of whom is an expert in their field; many articles published in well-known journals, papers and workshops presented at symposiums with international and national participation.
Our graduates can apply to the PhD program in Classroom Education at other universities.

The thesis-based master's program consists of at least 120 credits, including at least eight courses (which must include a course on Scientific Research Techniques and Publication Ethics, and Basic Statistics in Social Sciences), a seminar course, thesis preparation, and thesis work, provided that the total number of credits is not less than 60.
In order to establish the thesis defense jury, the student must successfully complete the required/elective courses, the seminar, thesis preparation, and thesis work courses; provide evidence that they have prepared a scientific paper, in collaboration with their advisor, that has been accepted for publication or published in a national or international peer-reviewed journal; have a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00; and ensure that the thesis plagiarism report is below 20%. A student in the thesis-based master's program must write their thesis in accordance with the thesis writing guidelines approved by the Senate, and defend it before the thesis defense jury. Upon successfully passing the thesis defense exam and meeting all other requirements, the student who submits the completed thesis and any other documents requested by the institute to the Graduate School will be awarded a thesis-based master's degree, subject to the decision of the institute's board of directors.
