Grading:
For each course taken by the students, one of the following letter grades is assigned by the instructor as the end-of-term course grade. The coefficients of the letter grades and their equivalents out of 100 points are shown below.

The letter grades to be given to students by the instructor at the end of the semester for each course they take are as follows:

If the student receives an (EKS) grade from any course, he/she must complete the deficiencies and receive a grade within fifteen days from the date of submission of the grades to the relevant institute. Otherwise, the (EKS) grade automatically becomes an (FF) grade. This period may be extended until the beginning of the next registration period in case of a prolonged illness or similar cases, upon the student's application, the recommendation of EABDB/EASDB and the decision of the EYK.

b) YT: The Sufficient (YT) grade is given in case of success in courses that are not included in the general grade average, such as specialization courses, seminars and thesis studies.

c) YZ: The Insufficient (YZ) grade is given to students who cannot successfully continue courses that are not included in the general grade average, such as specialization courses, seminars and thesis studies.

ç) S: The In-Progress (S) grade is given to students who are successfully continuing their thesis studies.

Courses with this status cannot be used in course counting transactions related to the program or programs in which the student is registered.

e) DVZ: The failing grade (DVZ) due to absenteeism is given by the faculty member to students who do not fulfill their attendance obligations or who fail because they cannot fulfill the conditions related to course practices. The (DVZ) grade is treated as (FF) in the calculation of grade point averages.

(8) In the event of any objection to the end-of-semester course grades announced by the institute;

the correction process is decided by the relevant EABDB/EASDB upon the application of the faculty member, for correction processes not exceeding 15 days from the announcement date, and for correction processes exceeding 15 days from the announcement date, by the EYK.
(9) The success of students is determined by calculating the weighted semester grade point averages at the end of each semester.

The weighted semester average is calculated by dividing the number obtained by multiplying the coefficients corresponding to the letter grades of the courses taken during the semester with the credit values of the courses by the total credits. The credits of the courses with DVZ grades are also added to the total credits. This average is shown as two digits after the comma. The weighted general grade point average is calculated by taking into account the courses that the student has taken since his/her acceptance to the graduate program and that correspond to the total credit load of the course load valid in this graduate program. The last grade received from the repeated courses is included in the general grade point average. All grades are transferred to the student's transcript.
