Recognition of Education Abroad
The academic semesters and courses of returning students who study as exchange students for one or two semesters at universities abroad with which we have an agreement are recognized by DU.
Students selected to benefit from Student Learning Mobility within the scope of the ERASMUS program are obliged to prepare a learning agreement with their ERASMUS Unit Coordinators before the start of their mobility period. This learning agreement shows the courses and ECTS values that the student will take at the partner university where the student will study.
In addition, students are required to prepare a Recognition Sheet. In this document, the equivalents of the courses that students will take abroad are shown and the credit transfer to be made is determined.
At the end of the exchange period, the courses taken abroad are shown on the transcripts with their original codes and names, ECTS credits and grades. In the official transcripts of the students, the abbreviation “ET”, which stands for “courses taken at universities abroad within the scope of the ERASMUS Program and cooperation agreements”, appears next to these courses.
