Wildlife Ecology and Management Master's Program covers the theoretical courses and practical studies necessary to provide students with the necessary infrastructure for various sub-branches of wildlife. The proposed Master's Program includes Wildlife Ecology, Vertebrate Animal Systematics and Biology, Population Biology, Wildlife Genetics, Wildlife Conservation and Development, and Wildlife Management.
The aim of the program; Equipped with the necessary and sufficient knowledge about the biology, ecology and etiology of amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates, especially birds, mammals and fish from wild animals, and the components in ecosystems such as forests, mountains, steppes, wetlands; to educate graduate level educated staff who are trained in wildlife conservation, breeding, development, improvement, disease control, protection and rehabilitation of animals, preparation of museum materials, hunting ground planning, hunting, hunting tourism, and who can make sustainable plans and practices in various ecotourism activities such as wildlife photography and bird-nature observation tours.
In order to obtain a master's degree in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Management, which will be opened as a master's program with thesis, the master's program with thesis consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course and thesis study, provided that it is not less than twenty-one credits in total. Seminar course and thesis study are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The master's program with thesis consists of a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including at least eight courses including a seminar course and thesis study, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits.
