As per the Council of Ministers Decision No. 96/8655, on 10 October 1996, Düzce Health Vocational High School was converted to Düzce School of Health and connected to Abant Izzet Baysal University. In 2006, it became Düzce University Health School, which is affiliated with Düzce University.
In accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers on December 12, 2016, between 16/9648, Düzce University School of Health became a “Nursing Department” within the Faculty of Health Sciences affiliated with Düzce University.
Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department accepts students with MF-3 score type. The education period is 4 years and it is in the form of general nursing education. General nursing education includes vocational courses covering the basic medical sciences as well as laboratory work and field practices in "9 Basic Areas" of nursing
It aims to educate nurses who offer health care at universal standards, have ethical principles, effective communication, problem solving and research skilli, respect human rights, innovative, inquisitive, and humanistic insights, in order to improve the health of the society and respond to their needs depending on scientific developments.
To be a pioneer in the training of preferred nurses in the national and international arena with nursing education, research and applications.

The student is exempted from the course if the content of the course taken by the student in another institution is compatible with the content of the course given at Düzce University and approved by the relevant faculty / institute / school board of directors.
Recognition of Education Abroad
DU recognises academic terms ans course studied by a student that has been involved in a change programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.
-Student that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under Erasmus are obliged to draw up an educaiton agreement with relevent Erasmus Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as approptiate ECTS credits. n addition to thisi student shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.

Graduates of the nursing department work as clinical nurse in public and private organizations belonging to the hospitals moreover occupational nurse, school health nurse, home health care nurse, administrator and educator nurse and in universities work as academic staff.
Educational activities of Nursing Department based on classic educational system, and innovative educational technology. Nursing Undergraduate Program consists of compulsory courses, elective courses and practices. For graduating the sudents have to take 240 ECTS. %75 of the courses are compulsory and % 25 of the courses are elective. The practices start at second grade. Students do their practices for Nursing Fundemantals, Internal Medicine Nursing, Surgery Nursing, Obstetric and Women Health Nursing, Child Health and Ilness Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Public Health Nursing at the Düzce University Health Practice and Research Center, primary schools, nursing homes and releated fields.
In Nursing Faculty exams consist midterms, final exams, and excuse exams. The success of a course determine by the course achievement score. Course achievement score obtains by the determining final exam and the success of student in semestre together. The affect of final exam to the course achievement score is 40 % min and 60 % max. If a student does not take the exam, student considered to have failed in that course. The program based on the regulation of ““Düzce Üniversitesi Lisans Eğitim-Öğretim ve Sınav Yönetmeliği”.
