[] About Program
Sports Management, which covers a part of the multidisciplinary social sciences, include management, marketing organization, human resources, management of sports and economy. Sports Management courses are critical for all departments of Physical Education and Sport Schools. Department offers theoretical courses for students to give a broad perspective on organizational skills in the field of sport management . Department of Sports Management offers courses for students to develop their theoretical and practical knowledge. Our students have also the possibility of the Minor and Double Major programs. The European Union can take advantage of exchange programs with universities contracted within the framework of the Erasmus Programme.

Sports Management Program's graduates can work at university's departments of health, physical education and sports, the head of health, cultural and sports, as well as sport science departments, sports centers, General Directorate of Youth and Sport' s Central and Provincial Region. Graduates are also employed in sports health centers, sports federations, government agencies and private entities, sports clubs, fitness centers, tourism organizations, institutions and organizations dealing with sport tourism, military schools, sports clubs and school sports clubs.

The purpose of the Sports Management Department; Our aim is to train sports managers who are experts in the field of sports science and have the highest qualifications, attach importance to ethical values, have superior knowledge and knowledge, have a leadership qualification, are creative and open to innovation. In the Sport Management Department, it is mainly to provide sports training in general and private areas, and to train individuals with the highest level of sports management, organization and facility knowledge in the chosen specialty.

[] Admission Requirements
Aplication and admission of circumstances to register for Duzce University Sport Academy Sports Management Department and Duzce Univesity senate's suggestion are depend on Turkish Council of Higher Education's decision. The general requirements explained in “General Admission Requirements” of Information on the Institution part are applied for admission of students.
[] Course's Contrubution To Program
To complete the available courses in the program (a total of 240 ECTS) successfully, the students have to get at least 50 points out of 100 and required to achieve 2.50 on a 4.00 weighted grade point average. To graduate from the programs students should get at least DD in all of the courses provided. Students are also required to complete the compulsory practice in the specified ​time.
[] Recognition of Prior Learning

Students enrolled in DU might be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. A student can be exempted from a certain course provided related course content previously received from another institution complies with that of DU, which is subject to approval and verification by the Board of faculty/graduate school/school.

Recognition of Education Abroad

DU recognises academic terms and courses studied by a student that has been involved in an exchange programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.

In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.

At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.

Sports Management Program; sports organizations, sports industry, recreation, sports facilities, sports marketing, sports economy, which can serve in many areas such as the intellectual think, entrepreneur, decision-making competence, creative, transformational and problem-solving ability to train high-level Sports Managers.
Sports Management Program; This course aims to provide the students with the knowledge of many areas which have direct or indirect relationship with sports through a contemporary and comprehensive education curriculum equipped with theoretical and practical sports courses in the areas mentioned above.

Sports Management Program graduates, Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Directorate of Sports, provincial and district organizations, amateur and professional sports clubs, private and public organizations, sports organizations, tourist resorts and hotels and animation departments of sports facilities, recreation facilities find opportunities.
[] The Upper Stage of a Transition
The graduates holding Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Master’s Degree programmes who have valid puan from ALES and foreign language exam, that national level and /or international level both in the same and in related disciplines. At the Master level an specialization in "Movement and Training Sciences" exist.

Sport management program is applied intensive educational program in Sport Science. The Program is conducted to give opportunities for students to take an effective role in any organization in the sport industry. Besides of theoretical lectures, specific education are lectured on specific sport branch, which are selected by students.
