The International Relations department is a department that can contribute to making analyzes that provide value and contribute to the political and social, economic, sociological and legal aspects of the country and between countries, and to produce solutions. One of the important advantages of the department is that it is an interdisciplinary department. It is considered as a department that has the capacity to produce solutions to social and political problems by utilizing regional and national resources and by providing international support as much as possible. Especially in recent years, the events that occurred at the interstate level and concern all humanity have revealed the importance of using the necessary methods and intervening in the problems in order to avoid these events.

To be a dynamic and integrated department that gives priority to research, gives great respect and reference to the feeling of curiosity.

To educate graduates who are equipped to lead the society, can use computer technologies effectively and can use at least one foreign language for social and academic purposes. In addition, to gain a respectable place in international relations discipline in Turkey.

Students who successfully complete the program are entitled to receive an International Relations undergraduate degree.

[] Admission Requirements
Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Institution (YÖK), student admission to this program is done by the system selected by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYS). After the students have announced their preferences for the program they want to study, they are placed in the relevant programs by this center according to the score they get from this exam.

Foreign students are admitted to this program with internationally valid exam results such as SAT, ACT or secondary school graduation grades (Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs Foreign Student Admission Directive).

The admission of the students to the programs with the General Academic Exchange Protocol is made within the framework of bilateral agreements (such as ERASMUS, FARABI, etc.) signed between the collaborating (partner) university with Düzce University. Guest students can register for the courses given in this program if the relevant academic unit approves. Sufficient language knowledge is required to follow the program.
[] Course's Contrubution To Program
Students must successfully complete all courses available in the program (240 ECTS in total) and must have received a minimum score of 50 out of 100 from each course. They must achieve a GPA of at least 2.50 over 4.00 (GANO). In addition, they must be successful by getting at least DD grade from all courses envisaged in the curriculum. Students are also required to complete their compulsory internship in the specified time.

[] Description of Program
It deals with the structure of the international system, its functioning, the behavior of the states, international organizations and non-state actors involved in the system, and their interaction with each other. In addition, in the first four semesters of the undergraduate program, students generally have knowledge of the basic qualifications of social sciences as well as the historical and legal foundations of the international relations discipline. In the same period, they gain knowledge on the subjects that this discipline intersects with other disciplines. In later periods, both theoretical and practical courses focus on more specific topics of international relations, as well as detailed studies on regional developments as well as global topics. In addition, there are also training programs designed to train specialists in different categories: "European Union", "Global Developments / Regional Studies", "Political History", "International Law", "Political Science" and "Turkish Foreign Policy".

1 Being able to comprehend the basic concepts and theoretical knowledge in the field of international relations and grasp their details.
2 Having the knowledge of international relations, diplomatic history, law, international law, economics, public administration, management and accounting required in a qualified employee who is demanded by the public and private sectors and being able to utilize this knowledge.
3 Analyzing and evaluating hypothetical knowledge as well as offering solutions in the field of international relations
4 Taking responsibility in studies related to the field of international relations and being able to arrange and independently conduct such studies.
5 Being able to offer and share alternative solutions in the field of international relations with awareness for lifelong learning and critical thinking.
6 Being able to evaluate the knowledge that is acquired during the education period through building cause-effect relations; being able to foresee what kind of knowledge is required in which situation (where and when) and why
7 Being able to share theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of international relations and translate them into teamwork activities.
8 Having competence of written and verbal communication in Turkish; being able to speak a foreign language at a level to exchange ideas on the field of international relations.
9 Being conscious about the social, scientific and professional ethics; being open to change and new ideas.
10 Being able to present opinions as to current issues in international relations, to enhance them as well as to use them in interpreting events.

[] Professional Profile of Graduates
Graduates of the Department of International Relations will provide qualified manpower for the public and private sector. Graduates can be employed primarily as foreign experts in foreign affairs and foreign affairs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs may also carry out diplomatic tasks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and may work under the presidency of the European Union. Graduates of Economics and Administrative Sciences will be able to undertake various tasks such as International Relations graduates, local administrative and administrative judges who have equal rights to apply to the public sector. Students who graduate in accordance with the multi-disciplinary approach of the program have the opportunity to work in different fields. Graduates who wish to continue their doctoral studies may choose the way of academic career starting with research assistant.
Graduates can work as managers-experts in many areas in the private sector; they can be employed in sectors such as International Banking and Logistics, especially those dealing with foreign trade. Graduates can be employed in non-governmental organizations or international organizations organized in that field, depending on which field they prefer to specialize in International Relations.
[] The Upper Stage of a Transition
After successful completion of their bachelor's degree, our graduates can apply for master's and doctoral studies at national and international higher education institutions provided that they have valid grades from ALES and have sufficient knowledge of foreign languages. In addition to International Relations, they can take postgraduate education in many fields of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Political Sciences.

The Department of International Relations is equipped with modern knowledge and culture, with the ability to communicate, to be able to overcome research, analysis and problems. it has been determined to raise individuals. In this context, in addition to the compulsory courses in the departmental program, in-department and non-departmental elective courses, students are provided with the necessary equipment in line with their career goals.

Graduation Conditions

International Relations students must complete a total of 152 credits in order to graduate. The courses are divided into two groups: "compulsory" and "elective". Students who successfully complete all the compulsory courses and 12 elective courses are entitled to graduate.
