[] Graduation Requirements
Students are required to complete 191 credits at the national level, 48 credits of which comprise elective courses to graduate from the Sports Management Department, Faculty of Education. The credits required for the European Credit Transfer System are determined as 30 for each term, totalling to 240 credits overall. Sports Management Education is a four-year program and the medium of instruction is Turkish. Every term comprising a 14-week academic term includes midterms, assignments, projects and such assessment activities besides final exams at the end of the term. In addition, to qualify for graduation, each student is required to perform a 14-day internship in industry. Although internship is a prerequisite for graduation, it happens to be a non-credit requirement. The experience to acquire during internship and the required workload are addressed upon the analysis of the content, the practice and the required workload of the courses in the program. Besides, each student is required to accomplish a graduation project and to present his or her thesis as well. To qualify as graduates of the Sports Management Education Department, it is required that students attend the courses in the program and to be successful in all with a GPA (General Point Average) at least 2.50 out of 4. Students are expected to have completed all the courses indicated in the instruction plan and fulfilled the demands in line with the regulations and rules of action ,completing the required credits. Also students are required to have participated in one of the camps in the training program (Summer, Winter and Mountain Camps)
