Turkish Music is a four-year undergraduate programme which aims training artists and academicians who appreciate our national music culture, have full knowladge of technology and esthetics awareness, able to collaborate interdisciplinary, value ethics, have sense of justice, be polyphonic, searching and questioning as responsible art producers and competent staff. Training programme includes various compulsory and elective subjects. Grad-students may work as instrument players or vocal artists in orchestras of various government agencies and private organisations; programme producers; academicians in national and international institutions; performers; researchers, critics and writers in comprehensive studies about national and international communities and may be active in national and international musical environments. Grad-students are certified with “Music Programme Baccalaureate” and they have the opportunity to continue their postgraduate education.

Turkish Music
Programme is an undergraduate programme in Art Designing and Architecture
Faculty Music Department. We have compulsory and elective courses with
theoretical and tutorial contents. Students continue their education in one of
the “Turkish Folk Music” or “Classical Turkish Music” majors from 5th semester.

established under Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, Ministry of Culture
and private radio and television corporations.

critics and writers who studies mutually with disciplines researching national
and international societies.

Provisions of the Duzce University "Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation" are applied in Exams, Assessment and Grading.
Letter grades and their scores are determined as follows or according to the relative score assessment system:
Students have
to complete 184 national credits to graduate and 44 of these credits are
elective courses.
ECTS credit
amount is 240 (30 per semester). Music Programme period of study is four years.
Every semester lasts 14 weeks and there are mid-term examinations,
assignaments, projects, eveluation acitivities and final examinations. Additionally
students are obligated to write a dissertation as a result of a project.
Attendance to classes is compulsory and students have to be successful in all
courses to graduate. Cumulative grade point average of a student must be higher
than 2.50 and all additional studies must be completed to graduate.
