Tangible targets and advantages of the program; As generally known in the context of UN directives architecture is one of the most necessary professions and has "Chosen Profession" status. In this sense architecture education ranges from duration of education to credit facility, from signing authority to relations with other areas of science and transition to undergraduate-postgraduate connection. Construction and building sector in our country is a dynamic field due to both dramatically increasing population and changeover from wide-family to nuclear family. Construction sector has a locomotive value for our country and employs so many citizens. Besides, as our country is located on one of the most active earthquake lines, this has caused buildings to get damaged and it is going to continue to damage them. Reasons for damaged buildings during earthquakes are architectural design, application and engineering failures. Moreover, being aware of existing historical and cultural heritage of our country, protection, conservation and transferring them to next generations are other main duties of architecture profession. Therefore, architects who has trained practically in architecture field, are aware of applications, produce practical solutions for problems during the application are needed. In this context architects that graduated from departments with programs reinforced by applied courses spend very less time for adopting to market. Content of the program prepared towards demands of construction sector ensures to train qualified graduates.
The mission is training researcher professionals with social and environmental consciousness who can protect fundamental principles of the Republic and universal ethical values, describe national identity in global scale by his formation, question the knowledge and use it, think independently and critically, use modern technology and produce logical solutions for today's architectural problems. As urban environment is the most fundamental and natural laboratory of architecture education, many technical trips are arranged for bachelor students, and an educational environment is generated that expert professionals and academicians share their experiences through interviews, juries and workshops.
The vision is to sustain a modern architectural education model that can train architects able to compete in national and international level, determine social and architectural problems and produce logical solutions for them and to be in an active position in research-application areas.
Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.
In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.
At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits.
