Duzce University, Faculty of Technology dated 11.13.2009 published in Official Gazette No. 27 405 was established by decision of the Council of Ministers. Civil Engineering was established under the name of one of the sections within the Faculty.
Students will graduate at the end of 8 semesters with total of 240 ECTS credits. Department of Civil Engineering is a department that aims to give selective and practical training in Civil engineering bachelor's, master's and doctoral level in the field of engineering science and theoretical principles of the subject area,
In this regard, the key objective of our department is to train engineers who can follow the current science and technology in our country and around the world,in the field of Civil with analysis and application capabilities In accordance with this target , in order to implement scientific and technological innovations, all of which will contribute to the service of our country and humanity, also benefiting from the opportunities available in our industry as much as workshops and laboratories benefited from.
Civil engineering department accept students as well as from general high schools and from vocational high school particular from the technical high schools that give education in the relevant field. Students from vocational high schools are subject to a one-year science preparatory education. In this program which was decided by the implementation of in 2010-2011 academic year by Higher Education Council (HEC), general education courses in mathematics, physics and chemistry will be given for students coming from vocational high school.
The students who have graduated from the department of Civil Engineering is the title Civil Engineer given.
Our aim is to educate engineers who can transform the information to social and industrial benefit, who can follow the developments in the global area and has the courage for competition.
To graduate civil engineers having knowledge of engineering basics and values, idealist and in this direction continuing to develop individual achievements and career; achieving engineering formation and having responsibly of career and ethics.
Civil engineering department is one of the main engineerings working with different materials and techniques. Civil engineering is accepted as the main civilization tool for the countries.
