Goals The aim of this course is to introduce students to the main areas covered under the heading of industrial organization, in light of modern conceptual approaches and empirical studies.
Course Content Students who successfully complete this course will: • Students will recognize that our competition-based understanding of the market is complex and that the multiple competing perspectives within industrial economics lead to problems in public decision-making processes. • Students will gain knowledge regarding the concentration ratio. • Students will be able to define industrial economics. • Students will be able to make comments regarding the definition of an industry. • Students will be able to compare the various perspectives within industrial economics.
