Goals Basic issues and concepts of physical chemistry, chemical events underlying principles, scientific laws and theories, chemical and physical changes that accompany the thermodynamic quantities of energy and understanding of the basic objectives of the course.

1 To be able to express various state equations of real gases
2 To be able to define pressure, ideal gas and use of Maxwell distribution law to obtain Graham diffusion law.
3 The students explain the rules of energy conversion in closed and open systems.
4 The students apply the laws of thermodynamics to physical and chemical processes.
5 The students calculate enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs energy changes.
6 The students determine the reaction mechanism; integrated rate laws, half-lives; obtains the equations for zero-order, first-order, second-order, and nth-order reactions.
