Goals The aim of this course is to teach the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the Turkish War of Independence, the Lausanne Peace Treaty and the importance of the new Turkish State
Course Content - Developments in European History and Ottoman Modernization - The Causes of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire - Comprehend World War I - Republic of Turkey will be able to better understand the philosophy of the organization.

3. Week XIX. Reform movements in the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century (Tanzimat, Islahat and I. Constitutional periods)
4. Week The political and military state of the Ottoman Empire in the period of dispersion
5. Week The intellectual movements of the Ottoman Empire (Ottomanism, Islamism, Turkism, Westernism, Decentralization, Socialism) and II. Ottoman State during the Constitutional Monarchy Period
6. Week World War I and the Ottoman Empire (the outbreak of the war, the inclusion of the Ottoman Empire in the war, the fronts and the end of the war) and the signing of the Armistice of Mondros
7. Week Invasions and Reactions (The emergence of the National Forces), Communities (National, Nationalist and minority communities), Mustafa Kemal Pasha after the Armistice of Mondros and the transition to Anatolia
