Goals This course aims to develop students’ basic communication skills in English in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) A2 level. It seeks to enable students to introduce themselves and their immediate environment, understand and use commonly used expressions in everyday situations, and express their ideas and experiences in simple, clear, and connected sentences. The course also aims to enhance students’ social interaction skills through group activities and to ensure the accurate and effective use of basic language structures.
Course Content This course is designed to develop students’ basic communication skills in English at the A2 level. Throughout the course, students learn essential language functions such as introducing themselves, giving personal information, talking about family and work life, describing daily activities, planning leisure activities, and making suggestions. In addition, students develop language skills for everyday communication situations such as giving directions and describing their surroundings. During the course, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are integrated and supported through role-plays, group work, short writing tasks, and mini projects. At the end of each unit, revision activities are conducted to reinforce students’ grammar, vocabulary, and overall communicative competence.
