Goals Providing students with an understanding about the analysis of members of RC building
Course Content Calculations of slabs and beams under vertical loads, Calculation of RC frames under vertical and lateral loads, general informations about seismic resistant design of RC buildings.
Learning Outcomes
# Öğrenme Kazanımı
1 Identifies loads of slabs, calculates bending moments, calculates and arranges the required reinforcements, shows the reinforcements on transversal and longitudinal sections.
2 Designs the dimensions of beams under vertical loads, identifies the beam loads.
3 Realizes the statical analyses and reinforcement calculates of beams under vertical loads and identifies bending and shear reinforcements, shows the reinforcements on longitudinal section.
4 Realizes the pre-sizings of columns of a reinforced concerete building and arranges them in the plan
5 Calculates the first natural vibration period of a reinforced concrete building.
6 Judges the certain settlements of columns in the plan by evaluating the periods of the building under lateral loads.
7 Calculates the base shear reaction of a RC building subjected to earthquake load.
8 Identifies the cross-sectional forces of colums and beams of the RC buildings under the earthquake loads.
